Why I Built This
My wife has an hour-long commute each way. More than once she called me while driving, scared, caught in a bad storm with no idea whether to pull off or push through. I would scramble pulling up weather radar on one device and her location on another and talk her through it. There was no single tool that did both.
The crime side came from everyday situations. When we were house hunting, I would always look up the zip code on a crime rate site before scheduling a showing. Same thing on road trips needing to stop for gas in an unfamiliar area with no idea what kind of neighborhood you are pulling into.
NavShield is what I wished existed in both of those moments.
