NavShield LLC ("NavShield," "we," "us") provides the NavShield mobile app, which offers navigation, live weather radar, crime data maps, and optional location sharing with friends. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Location. NavShield uses your device's location to show your position on the map, provide turn-by-turn navigation, show weather and speed limits near you, and display crime and weather data along your route. If you turn on "Share When App Is Closed," NavShield also uses your location in the background to keep your chosen friends updated. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and optional profile picture. Your account is managed through Google Firebase Authentication.
Friends and sharing. If you use the friends feature, we store your friends list, friend requests, which friends you share your location with, and your most recent shared location with the time it was updated. Your shared location is visible only to friends you have chosen to share with. If you turn sharing off, or close the app without background sharing enabled, your location is removed from your friends' view.
Settings. We store your app preferences (such as map style, voice, and vehicle type) on your device.
Subscription information. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never your payment card details.
We do not collect your contacts, photos (other than a profile picture you choose to upload), messages, or browsing history.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show advertising.

These providers receive only what is needed to return the requested information, and they handle it under their own privacy policies.
We keep your account information until you delete your account. Shared locations are replaced each time your location updates and removed when you stop sharing. When you delete your account, we delete your account information, friends list, and shared location data from our systems.
You can delete your account at any time in the app on the Friends screen, or by emailing admin@navshield.tech. Deletion is permanent.
NavShield is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections and access rules that limit who can read your shared location. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
